Election Commission's Independence Should Be Asserted: Ex Chief Election Commissioner

"In the last 70 years, despite the defective system, governments have come and gone... EC can't actually affect the verdict. But, its independence should be asserted," SY Qureshi, former Chief Election Commissioner said, when asked whether the Election Commission has become servile to the government.
